that is the phrase that my friend leslie hiatt wrote in her "about yourself" box on facebook, and i love it. you are enough. whatever flaws you might have, whatever mistakes you've made, whatever may come... you are enough. because you're you. and God doesn't make mistakes.
reminds me of my new favorite song of the past few weeks...
hey! remember when we listened to this while we were moving your stuff out of your apt? I like the part that says 'even when i'm wrong he's still kind'
ReplyDeleteof course! that's one of the lines i love the most too. :) and also the part that says "i told him my biggest secret, and he told me four. he smiled at me and said, 'that makes me love you more.'"
ReplyDeleteI finally listened to this for the first time and I LOVE it. So beautiful. I agree with you Becca, that was my favorite line "i told him my biggest secret, and he told me four. he smiled at me and said, 'that makes me love you more.'" and my second favorite is "however things turn out it's all right, cause he's already changed my life."
ReplyDeleteI love the title and message of this article too. I actually started saying that to myself every day and writing it in my morning pages ever since my last session with Cari a week or two ago-- "I am enough". There are so many things I still want to learn and accomplish, so many ways I want to grow and improve--and I will. But it's important to know that right now, I am enough.
